Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 Tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk*

DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING

  • 2 and 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, I used Hershey’s Special Dark
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 6 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
